Batavia Chamber of Commerce Celebrates the Reopening of our Community with a Ribbon Cutting

Batavia Reconnected is pleased to provide a grant of $80,000 to be allocated to the local business community to ease their financial burden and take safety precautions for our community.
We are excited to announce that 11 businesses applied and were awarded grants to help decrease the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on their business during the first round of funding. Businesses receiving funds were Bernie's Bully Dogs, Hearth & Hammer General, B. Stylish Nail Spa, Bocaditos, Limestone Coffee & Tea, Wilson Street Tavern, Oak and Swine, Red Hive Market, Black Cactus Print House, Rivers Edge Bar and Grill, and Full Moon Bar & Grill.
A second round of funding opens for applications today.

Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 5 pm
.
On July 2, 2020, a lottery of applicants will select the businesses to receive the grant.
Businesses within the City of Batavia employing less than 10 full-time employees that accommodate customers in-person; retail, restaurant, salon, fitness, and dance studios, are eligible for this grant up to $1,500.
Businesses who previously received a partial grant can re-apply for the remainder up to $1,500. Applications, instructions and more are available via this

The Kane County Department of Transportation (KDOT) will be working on traffic signal improvements on Randall Road from Mill Street south to Main Street, beginning today - June 29. The project requires the full shutdown of traffic signals at each individual intersection (individually) to complete the work. Read more

The protection of the health and well-being of our seniors is more important than ever. As this population continues to thrive into their eighties, nineties and beyond, their need for safe and reliable care grows. The Fox Valley is fortunate to have a new partnership between two organizations offering superior senior care, Elderday Center and Seniors Helping Seniors of Fox Valley. Elderday Center, a non-profit 501(c)3 adult day care program, has purchased Seniors Helping Seniors of Fox Valley, a for-profit, non-medical in-home care. The purchase of the two Batavia-based organizations was finalized on April 1.

one of the fastest growing restaurant companies in the U.S., is combining his passions for entrepreneurship, the restaurant business and philanthropy as the host of a timely new docuseries titled “Restaurant Recovery.” The series is created with producers Kapil Mahendra and Paul Beahan through their Calabasas Films & Media (CFM) banner, and will see Todd travel to cities across the country to help restaurants that have closed or are on the verge of closing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

or the initial 20 episode series run, Graves has committed to helping 20 different restaurants with a $2 million relief and recovery budget ($100k per restaurant). The initial schedule includes potential filming in Chicago many more cities based on applications received.
