Weekend Lineup
Barn Bash, Harvest Feast, Club Dance

Well, it's not really a barn, but the Wallis Chamber of Commerce is decorating the Wallis Columbus Club Hall like one and having a fundraising bash Saturday night. Texas Legacy Czech Band is providing the music. Ben's Chuck Wagon is providing the dinner. The evening also features a 50/50 raffle and silent auction They say dress is "Country Cowboy" which they translate to Texas casual. Hmm!

Church Picnic Alert: St. Michael in Weimar
St. Michael's Harvest Feast on Sunday features lots of great music, food, and fun. New additions this year are a petting zoo and evening fireworks show! The event will be held at Veterans Memorial Park, about two blocks west of St. Michael. Begin the Feast by attending a Polka Mass at the church at 10:30 am led by Father Wayne Flagg and the Lost Cause Band. Then head to the park to feast on fried chicken, stew, and all the trimmings, starting at 11 am. Bid on some great one-of-a-kind items in the auction starting at 1 pm, play some Bingo, take a cake walk, and shop the country store. Kids will love the train ride, fish pond, ring toss, and treasure chest. If you've been practicing in the backyard, enter the washer pitching tournament. And save some energy for dancing to the Shiner Hobo Band, starting at 10:30 am; Lost Cause, 1 pm; and Chris Rybak, 4 pm.

Dance Club Says Let's Dance!
The Texas Heritage Music & Dance Club invites you to dance on Sunday, from 2-5:30 pm at the American Legion Hall in Sealy. The Donnie Vavra Orchestra will play your favorite polkas, waltzes, and country. The dance is open to the public. The day also features a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and door prizes. THMDC was founded in 2010 to help keep our state's heritage dances and their music going for future generations. WEEKLY LAUGH
After Adam stayed out late a few nights, Eve became suspicious.
"You're running around with another woman! Admit it!" she demanded.
"What other woman?" Adam shot back. "You're the only one here."
That night, Adam was fast asleep when he was awoken by Eve poking him in the chest.
Adam asked, "Eve, What are you doing?"
"Counting your ribs."
