For ALL Family Services Program Providers (Parenting, Family Strengthening, and Family and Neighborhood Support Programs)
UM Coach and Training and Implementation Associates are The Children’s Trust new Program and Professional Development funded providers for all the Family Services programs. Our main goal is to provide you, your team, and your agency with support in the implementation of your Children’s Trust Family Services program (Parenting, Family Strengthening, and Family and Neighborhood Support Programs). This Needs Assessment will represent the start of your training record for The Children's Trust new training requirements for Parenting, Family Strengthening, and Family and Neighborhood Support programs that go into effect August 1, 2019. Please be as honest as possible as you complete the Needs Assessment, as it will help drive the training and coaching content that is developed to support your work.
Each Family Services program staff member should complete the Needs Assessment survey by Friday, August 19, 2019. The survey should take approximately 15-25 minutes to complete.

Trust-Funded Providers MUST UPDATE Staff Positions on Trust Central
In August, the website used to register for all training events and to take online courses will change. This change will affect ALL Trust-funded providers.
You must take action to have your past and future training count toward metrics requirements.
With this change, in addition to the great training classes and online courses currently offered by The Children’s Trust and our partners, staff of Trust-funded programs will have access to a
FREE catalog of hundreds of online courses in the areas of child/youth care, professional development, and safety practices. The first step is for your Trust Central Agency Admin to include staff information in
Trust Central. All staff whose position is partially or fully funded through a Trust contract and required to take training must be included in Trust Central.

The Family Expo is looking for volunteers to lend a hand! Taking place on Saturday, September 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition Center, the
FREE event attracts hundreds of child and family services exhibitors sharing vital information with approximately 15,000 visitors. The day is also marked by a slew of fun activities for kids, including interactive games, a robotics room, live musical performances, face painters, and arts and crafts, to name just a few.
As a volunteer, you'll have a great time at the event; receive complimentary lunch, refreshments and snacks, and tee shirt; and log in community service hours (if needed).

Miami-Dade Counts 2020 is interested in funding efforts in Miami-Dade County to encourage full participation in the 2020 Census. The grants will range from $5,000 to $25,000 and will be awarded to nonprofit and governmental organizations with thoughtful, culturally sensitive, and innovative strategies for reaching communities that have historically low rates of participation in the census.

Florida Foster Care Review, which advances the safety, stability and success of abused and neglected children, youth and young adults by connecting them to essential services, healthy relationships and forever families, seeks caring community members to volunteer 1 weekday a month for a minimum of 1 year to serve on its Citizen Review Panel (CRP); volunteers must be at least 25 years old. The CRP reviews active, judge-referred child welfare court cases at the Children's Courthouse.

Health Coordinator for Head Start/Early Head Start (Full-Time)*
Interested candidates must have at a minimum an associate degree in Health Services Administration, Health Care Management, Nursing or related field. Qualified candidates must have at a minimum a CDA with focus on infants and toddlers, knowledge of early childhood education practices and one year experience working in early care and education settings. Economic Empowerment Program Coordinator
The YWCA is seeking an individual to be responsible for coordinating the YWCA’s Economic Empowerment/Prosperity Program, providing financial literacy, coaching, planning and financial and social services referrals for women and families; responsible for required activities, outcomes, deliverables of the EEP Program; Level 2 clearance, drug test required. Bachelor's degree in Social Work/Human Services/Public Administration or related field, plus 2-4 years of experience preferably in a related non-profit environment, as well as case management experience.

The Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) is looking for an individual
to foster a culture of philanthropy within the organization; assure that the corporate culture, systems and procedures support fund development and vice versa; lead staff and volunteers to institutionalize philanthropy and fund development within; be responsible for providing leadership/planning/organizing/directing all of the agency’s development and fundraising efforts including, but not limited to, corporate, government, major donor cultivation, annual fund, planned giving, special events and capital campaigns.
Staff Accountant
The staff accountant will be responsible for daily performance of technical and administrative accounting work; maintaining organization’s fiscal records/systems; performs monthly closing of G/L; reconciles G/L accounts to grant related reimbursement packages/schedules, standard journal entries and reconciles related variances through financial statements; assists program staff in preparing preliminary budgets/amendments. A transportation specialist is needed to transport students to and from educational programs at Charles R .Drew and Miami Northwestern Senior High School. The candidate must be able to engage children, communicate in English and be able to participate in several evening and weekend events. Must hold a chauffeur’s license, have a clean driving record and pass a level two background screening.
Community and Family Advocate - Part Time
Miami Children’s Initiative seeks a part time Advocate to assist families living in Liberty City. The Advocate will contribute to the development of health, safety and educational needs by coordinating intervention strategies, organizing community activities and acting as a liaison to engage community agencies.
