Creation Kids Newsletter
August 2019
The month of July was a whirlwind of fun and excitement! Thank you to all who participated in our Back to School Bash! It was a wonderful day, made possible with your support. Pictures and footage will be coming soon!
Last Month at a Glance
In July, our Creation Kids completed their safari-themed lessons!

The Rhinoceros taught us that God can help us tear down walls, through the story of Joshua and the Wall of Jericho.

Monkeys taught us how to pray, and how to talk to God, with the help of Jeremiah 29:13.

With the story of Gideon's victory over the Midianites, the hippopotamus taught us that we can hand our battles to God!

Through the story of Jonah fleeing from God, cheetahs taught us that while running may be fun, we never need to run from God.
Grow Day Camp
It was an honor to be the host site of Grow Day Camp! Our campers loved interacting with the amazing Glisson staff, and had a week full of adventures! We love seeing our kids outside, active, and happy!
"WOW" Moments

Richard and Alvin were amazing helpers to Ms. Rachel at the Volunteer Sign-Up table before the Back to School Bash! Thank you both for always being willing to help!

Annie stepped up in many ways this past month, with amazing spelling skills, eagerness to join in on activities, and even offering to help make and serve snow cones at the Back to School Bash! Thank you for being so involved, Annie!

Creation Kid of the Month!
For the month of August, I would like to present the Creation Kid of the Month Award to

Giselle Mendez!
Giselle and her beautiful hair bows brighten each and every Sunday! She always arrives equipped with a sweet spirit, kindness to others, and excellent focus throughout all of the lessons and crafts. We love Giselle for her happy demeanor, her easy going attitude, and her eagerness to learn more about God!

CONGRATULATIONS, Giselle!
(See Ms. Rachel on August 4th for your Creation Kid of the Month award!)

Keeping Our Children Safe and Secure!

Just a friendly reminder that to further improve safety and security going forward, the Creation Kids entrance door will be locked at all times (with the exception being during Preschool carpool).

Please plan to enter through another door and go through the building to bring your children to the nursery or to access adult classes.

Thank you for supporting improved safety for our Creation Kids and staff!
Volunteer and Parent Paperwork

Volunteers: Thank you to all who have already turned in your documents from the Staff/Volunteer Meeting! If you have not already, please complete and turn in the documents to Rachel's mailbox at your earliest convenience. We need to have these forms back from everyone who intends to work with our children in any capacity! Email Rachel to get fresh copies, or stop by her office to pick up the packet!

Parents: Please complete and turn in the Emergency Form/Photo Video Waiver to Rachel as soon as possible if your child and/or student will be participating in events at NFUMC this year. Please remember that each child needs their own, individual form!

Creation Kids Mission
We believe that every child is a gift from God, uniquely created to do good works and to bring glory to Him! It is our duty to welcome our children as Jesus welcomes them, with open arms, respect for who they are as individuals, and with a loving foundation. (Psalm 127:3; Ephesians 2:10, Matthew 18:5) Our mission is to partner with families in equipping their child to worship, serve, grow, and share the love of God!
