We are still here for you!
In light of COVID-19, we have all had to make changes in both our personal and work lives. Butte County Office of Education Prevention Programs have been making changes as well. We now have many of our services available virtually, which could provide as a great resource over the summer, especially for your families and students. From presentations or interventions, to independent studies- we can help.
New resources from Stanford Tobacco Toolkit include, distance learning material, and "The Vaping Phenomenon" webinar, especially suited for school staff and parents. Vaping Prevention: A Remote Learning Curriculum
If you know of a teen who is struggling through this time in quarantine, or might even just need a little boost, this infographic from Mental Health First Aid could be helpful.
Local News
SUMMER Quit smoking/vaping classes for teens will be offered this summer. Online classes will be offered to students who are interested in quitting vaping or other tobacco products. Classes will be every Monday beginning on June 8th through August 10th. Classes are with Prevention Specialist, Melissa Anderson. Interested in getting involved with local tobacco and vaping efforts? Our Butte County Nicotine Action Alliance (NAA) meets the first Tuesday of Every month, from 3-4:30pm. For more info please visit their website. See below for current NAA events.


  • Virtual Health Fair. Health organizations from all over Butte County will be featured on a live stream to share about what is new virtually with their programs. May 27th, streaming from 12pm-1pm here.
