Still Standing
a musical theater production
with playwright, actress, singer, songwriter, and director
Anita Hollander

Anita Hollander lost her leg to cancer in 1977. Returning to rehearsals just weeks after the amputation of her leg, she went on to have a successful international musical theater career, starring in many New York shows, including her own funny and moving one-woman show, Still Standing. Anita will share her story of resilience, and how her music and art has helped her heal.
Anita Hollander is “provocative, funny, moving, communicative and beautifully polished…She has a wide range of vocal colors which she uses with dramatic sensitivity as well as comic insight… All this plus a charming presence that flavors everything she does."
The New York Times
"The artist allows us to see the world in a new way. The artist gives us hope, reminds us we're not alone, and gives us valuable insights into the human condition. The artist can heal. The artist inspires." Anita Hollander
