Jersey's for Jackson
North Shore Fire/Rescue Members are being allowed to don their favorite baseball jersey as part of their uniform on December 3 to support Jackson Sparks and the Waukesha Community following the recent parade tragedy that occurred in that City.

Jackson, an 8 year old boy, was killed in the incident. Jersey's for Jackson is an initiative supported by organization's including the Milwaukee Brewers.

Happy Hannukah
Happy Hannukah from North Shore Fire/Rescue. This past Friday, Truck 82 participated in a Gelt Drop and Menorah Lighting at Bayshore Shopping Mall. Truck 82's crew enjoyed dropping Gelt from the raised aerial ladder.
The word “gelt” means “money” in both Hebrew and Yiddish. Chocolate gelt are the chocolate coins that are typically given to children during Hanukkah.
Weekly Update

  • Station 81 in Brown Deer hosted the Brown Deer Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 2.


  • Staff held a project kick-off meeting with Kueny Architects to discuss the Glendale Fire Station 82 project. The next meeting is scheduled for December 17 where various floor plans of the fire station will be reviewed with Captains assigned to that station.

  • The Department, on behalf the Village of Brown Deer submitted a grant application through the State's Healthcare Infrastructure Capital Investment grant program for approximately $1.2 Million to assist in funding the consolidation of two North Shore Health Department Offices and construct an emergency operations center.
