Girl's Soccer Undefeated!
The SBMS Girl's Soccer team has gone undefeated in all of their games, and as the season comes to an end, we will miss the incredible teamwork, heart, and fun-loving personalities of the team. Thank you to our 9th grade leaders Evey and Lucy, who were wonderful role models and teachers to the rest of the team. From girls who had never played soccer before and were scoring goals by the end of the season, to renditions of the Frozen soundtrack during van rides, Maida and I are grateful and honored to have coached such a special group of girls over the last few months. Wish them luck as they head into their tournament next week! - M&M

  • Friday, February 21, 2020: Signed Enrollment Agreement in the Hub and deposit payments in Smart Tuition are due. In order to hold your child's seat for next year, as well as financial aid awards, we must receive the signed agreement and deposit by the due date.

In order for us to hold your place - and any possible financial aid awards - please complete our Enrollment Contract with deposit according to the above schedule and deadlines. This allows us to secure your space for next year. We will refund deposits if your child decides to attend one of the private schools or academies to which they have applied for 9th grade, within 10 days of the February 21 deadline. SBMS Enrollment Contracts and acceptance of financial aid awards need to be submitted to us by Feb. 21.

BIANCA'S BLURB

As we wrap up the first semester, here are some helpful tips on how to have positive, productive conversations about your child's report cards.
  • Look at the HUB before report cards come home. Know more or less the grades your child is earning.
  • Plan for the discussion. Review your thoughts and approach with the other parent or guardian, even if you live in separate households. Being on the same page is critical for ensuring your child's continued success.
  • Find a calm place in the house with little to no distractions to sit down with your child. Sitting next to your child (not across the table from them) sends the message, "We're on the same team!"
  • Make sure there is no event planned soon after the conversation that may make you rush or end the conversation prematurely.
  • Start off the discussion with something positive.
  • Focus on PROGRESS AND GROWTH, not just the end result.
