These are the curtains on the stage at Hornsby Middle School. The stage is where academic awards are handed out, where amazingly talented kids sing and dance in talent shows, where Black History Month fashion shows happen!
Please help us fund new curtains for the Hornsby Middle School stage. All kids deserve a school with a stage they are proud to "shine on!" Cash or checks made out to Saint Paul's and noted Hornsby stage will be enormously appreciated! Questions,

Pub Theology of Augusta
Tuesday, August 13, 7 to 8:30ish PM
For AUGUST, Pub will meet at SRP Park for "Saint Paul's Night at the Ball Park"- see that announcement above for more details.
8/13 Topic: God and Gender - "Is God a dude?"
Questions we'll discuss:
1) When you hear or think "God", what visual image comes to mind? Where and when did you first experience images of God and what did those communicate about God's?
2) Think about how gender pronouns affect and shape your experience, encounter, and understanding God. What is your experience, what do you notice, and how has that changed as you mature? What works or what doesn't? Why?
3) The Episcopal Church has approved for "trial-use" in liturgy a range of alternative pronouns, expansive, and gender inclusive language--for example: "Blessed be God: most holy, glorious and undivided Trinity" instead of "Blessed be God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit". In either case, the people's response is "And blessed be God's reign, now and for ever. Amen" rather than Blessed be His kingdom, now and forever. Amen." What do changes like this mean to you?
4) What do you think about God and gender?
INFO: Pub Theology gathers members of Saint Paul's community to deepen our relationships and our faith through conversations about God and being Christian in this weird, marvelous, and unpredictable life. Pub Theology meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at one of several downtown restaurant locations. Visitors and guests are most welcome.
For more information on Pub Theology, inquiries, or to offer suggestions for topics,

A Prayer for the Election of a Bishop
Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a bishop for this Diocese, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
