Bicycle Inspiration
Who: Timothy Kobs
Painter
Trempealeau, WI
The ideas for my paintings come from my imagination - usually as daydreams while out riding my bicycle. I incorporate references from photos I take in nature, as well as from sketches I create. I use acrylic paints on wood panels to create worlds full of mermaids, fairies, dragons, magical trees a
nd other fantastic visions.
Favorite Piece:
My favorite pieces are inspired by my dog, Odin. "Canine Shrine” features a statue of a wolf with statues of dogs standing as honor guards.
Something Unexpected:
I designed my own comic books as a kid. I was a commercial artist, illustrator and graphic designer for 25 years. Since 2002, I have been creating my own art.
