Please keep me (Mary) in your prayers as I travel to the border for an immersion experience. My flight leaves at 6:30 a.m. February 1, and I will return late February 5 to Minneapolis. Here is some information for you about my trip.

It looks like we will have a group of nine women. We will be traveling in and around El Paso, and Las Cruces in Texas, and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
Day 1 - Noon arrival, Welcome and orientation, Border network for Human Rights, Story with Argelia Rodriguez and reflection.
Day 2 - Community Economics, Downtown El Paso exploration, Bilingual worship, Story with Pastor Juan de Diol Lopez, Serve and join migrant guests for dinner.
Day 3 - Visit U.S./Mexico Border Wall in Anapra, Chihuahua, Mexico, Dispensaria Cristo Rey, Library Para La Vida, Downtown Ciudad Juarez, Borderlands & Migrant Protection Protocols Update.
Day 4 - Introduction to Court, U.S. District Court, Immigration law presentation and/or American Immigration Council, Mesilla & Stahmann Farms, DACA Dinner and Story.
Day 5 - Presentation by U.S. Border Patrol at U.S./Mexico fence.

Marilyn was diagnosed with stage four cancer that has metastasized from her breast cancer 15 years ago. The doctors discovered spots on her ribs, spine, kidney, and liver. Marilyn has finished her chemo treatments and may be eligible for a new

Neither Wolf Nor Dog Book Study Begins at the End of the Month for Both Immanuel and Bethesda
Starting Thursday February 27th

Against an unflinching backdrop of 1990s reservation life and the majestic spaces of the western Dakotas, Neither Wolf nor Dog tells the story of two men, one white and one Indian, locked in their own understandings yet struggling to find a common voice. This Bayfield Presbyterian and Bethesda Lutheran will be joining together in a joint Bible Study on Mark led by Dick Bouton. We will resume meeting on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. in the Bethesda Fellowship Hall February 6th.
In preparation for the study, Dick is asking potential participants to read the entirety of the Gospel of Mark in one sitting and then do that again within a week of the start of the study and ask yourself, "Did anything change for me when I read it a second time?" Make notes, if you wish, and bring your insights to the first study session.
