Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.

  Worship the Lord with gladness;

  come before him with joyful songs.

Know that the Lord is God.

  It is he who made us, and we are his;

  we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving

  and his courts with praise;

  give thanks to him and praise his name.

For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;

  his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Good morning, I recorded this video during the week of August 2, from Keuka Lake near Penn Yan, NY.  A vacation moment leads me into prayer today: Oone morning while sitting and reading in a well sunlit area of the cottage, I looked up, and out the window saw a duck diving in the lake for food.  In the concurrent nourishment of my mind and body (if coffee counts) with example of the fullness of the nature that is part of God’s creation -- nature being larger and more incredible than any of us can really imagine -- I had a long moment of being in communion with God and the people in my little part of the world. I often think of our church journey as two simple things -- walking with each other; walking with God. My prayer that in doing so we find ourselves ever more in communion, ever more at peace, ever closer to the Kingdom of God on earth. Amen.
