From The Pastor..

This year the Hallmark channel started on October 22nd. That is when the first of their forty-one new Christmas movies premiered this year. For the past few years the Hallmark channel has led the charge when it comes to new Christmas themed content, but streaming services are not far behind. It seems there are now more Christmas specials than ever before. Often these specials celebrate the “spirit of Christmas” or the “magic of Christmas” without ever really defining what that really is. In order to reveal the work of this spirit or magic these specials employ the well-worn plot device of the Christmas miracle.

FROM THE FOOD PANTRY ... Matthew 25: 37 & 40; (37) ..."Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you...?" (40)..."I tell you the truth, whatever you did, for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."

FOOD DRIVE

We would like to thank all who helped with the Food Drive on November 20th. It was a great success! Also, those of you who purchased food and gave donations are very much appreciated!!
LITTLE LIGHTS PRESCHOOL

December is an exciting month for our preschoolers. They can't wait for Christmas. They are already discussing what gifts they want, singing Christmas songs, and talking about Santa.
But they will learn that these things are not the only reasons we celebrate this holiday. They will hear a story about how an angel spoke to Mary and Joseph. They will find out where Jesus was born. They will learn that shepherds spread the news of Jesus' birth and Wisemen brought Him gifts. But the most important thing they will learn is that Jesus is God's gift to all of us!
During class time they will do a variety of Christmas activities including making ornaments for our tree and making a nativity decoration. On the last class day they will have a Christmas Party and gift exchange.

Happy Birthday Jesus!
