Charlotte Independence Soccer Club would like to thank the Town of Huntersville and its Commissioners for a unanimous vote in favor of building 4 synthetic grass fields at Richard Barry Park.
These fields will look to start construction in May 2020 and be completed in Sept 2020. A massive thank you to Commissioners Melinda Bales, Dan Boone, Mark Gibbons, Brian Hines, Danny Phillips and Nick Walsh. If you can please take a couple minutes to send them a Thank You note, it would be greatly appreciated.
We would like to also recognize Mayor John Aneralla, Town Manager Anthony Roberts, and Parks & Rec Director Michael Jaycocks. Thank you for your leadership, planning and promoting the development of these fields for all Huntersville Residents.

, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
Outside of academics and athletics, all candidates also have been consistently involved in community service on their campus or in their communities.Nationwide fan voting begins immediately to help select the winner, and fans are encouraged to vote on the
Senior CLASS Award website
through November 18, 2019. Fan votes will be combined with media and Division I head coaches' votes to determine the winner. The Senior CLASS Award winner will be announced during the 2019 NCAA Men's College Cup® championships in December.

PRO SEASON FINALE & PAINT THE PITCH PINK

The Charlotte Independence Pro Team is back at home this Saturday, October 19 when they host the Ottawa Fury at the Sportsplex at Matthews (2425 Sports Parkway, Matthews) at 7 pm. The Independence will Paint the Pitch Pink with Kick Breast Cancer Night presented by Novant Health.
Accenting Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Independence will -- figuratively -- Paint the Pitch Pink with pink corner flags, pink flowers in the VIP suite, pink smoke bombs and pink, player-worn, warm-up jerseys.
Additionally, the Independence will celebrate those who are affected by breast cancer with special guests from Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center & Novant Health Women’s Imaging, Carolina Breast Friends and Susan G. Komen Foundation. Gates open at 6:00 pm and the first 500 guests to the game will receive a free pink rally towel courtesy of Novant Health.
In an effort to raise funds for breast cancer research and support, the Independence will be auctioning player-worn, autographed, pink warm-up jerseys, team-autographed, pink corner-flags and a team- autographed, pink game ball. The auction is now available for bids and will run through the end of the match on October 19th.

Join our partners for a day of activities, giveaways, and a panel of experts to ask all your important questions. Food, prizes, and an optional workout at the end. Females of all ages and fitness levels are invited. Bring your friends, bring your daughters, bring your mom, bring your female athletes for a day that's geared toward them.

Goal:
The Novant Health Female Athlete program brings together healthcare providers in nutrition, physical therapy, and sports medicine to help educate and care for female athletes. This program is designed for females of all ages and skill levels, as well as parents and coaches. We will discuss issues such as appropriate nutrition, menstrual health and injury prevention to optimize overall wellness and performance specific to female athletes. Our goal is to help girls become healthy and active women.
