Three thank you's for three volunteer groups...
and back to school!
We Are so Grateful to Our Volunteers!

In the month of July MSP was fortunate to have three amazing groups of volunteers.

Twitter sent a great group of staff ⁦ @TwitterWomen ⁩ who transformed the fence around our children's playground and helped to paint our staff meeting room. Not only did they put in many hours of volunteer work, they set up a process for other Twitter staff to donate to the organization - and Tweeps can get their donations matched!!! ⁦⁦ @TwitterForGood ⁩ ⁦ @TwitterDC ⁩!
BB&T generously began their project by purchasing nearly $6,000 worth of materials for their staff volunteer project, including planters and flowers and fully furnishing our new staff room! Once the supplies were delivered, the BB&T group went to work to transform our front yard to a beautiful and welcoming space. They also put together the furniture that is in the room that was painted by Twitter (and Optoro - see below) that now gives our staff a wonderful meeting space.





And Optoro joined us once again to help paint our new meeting room. Optoro continues to send us great groups of volunteers and we are extremely grateful! ...and they are good painters!
Help MSP provide back to school supplies
Uniforms, books, and pencils are just a few of the supplies children need to be successful in school. Sadly, all of the families who come to My Sister’s Place simply cannot afford the necessary supplies they need to be their most successful selves in school. 

You can help fix that! Your special back-to-school donations will help us to provide educational supplies and school uniforms for the 44 children in our programs. 

You’ve already made an incredible impact in the life of the survivors who come to My Sister’s Place who are desperately seeking specialized services and programs. Now, you have the opportunity to increase your impact and make sure that young boys and girls also have the tools they need to succeed in school this year.

There are many meaningful ways that you can help My Sister’s Place provide children with school uniforms and supplies they need to be at the top of their class:
