PILGRIMAGE: ISRAEL AND JORDAN

TIME IS RUNNING OUTWe are looking for at least 13 more pilgrims to join by early November to avoid canceling the trip. Pilgrims on this journey will begin Lent in the northern part of Israel on Ash Wednesday. Cost $5,469 (cash discount price) including roundtrip airfare, 4 & 5-star hotels, deluxe motorcoaches four-course dinner and Israeli breakfast buffet daily, guided sightseeing, and gratuities. MEN'S RETREAT RESET: FAITH IN TIMES OF UNCERTAINTY

Nov. 19-21 at MO Ranch, Texas Hill Country. REGISTER FOR RETREAT
Cost: $275 for a shared room and $310 for an individual room. Financial aid is available. Share good food, fellowship, reflections, and spiritual sharing for a weekend retreat. The 8 a.m. Holy Eucharist and 8 p.m. Compline will continue as scheduled.

BIBLICAL HERMENEUTICS LECTURE SERIES
10 a.m. in Crail C, Presented in person and livestreamed on Zoom
Hear from scholars of feminist, Latinx, queer, post-colonial, and womanist biblical hermeneutics (a study in the interpretation of the Bible) and how their communities have developed reading strategies to encounter the biblical text.

  • The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori-based, experiential educational program focused on liturgy and scripture. Join Ms. Christy at the Virtual Prayer Table on Zoom, or on the Labyrinth.
  • Junior Journeys offers age-appropriate, short-term courses that focus on specific topics in children’s walk with and path to God. Our Fall 2021 offerings are:
  • Fall of Friendship (PreK-5th grades) Explores Biblical lessons about friendship and faith with examples from Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang. We’ll also do lots of fun crafts. Join Ms. Kari, Ms. Amanda, and Ms. Laura in person on the Labyrinth, immediately following the 9 a.m. outdoor service.
  • *Virtual Fall* of Friendship (1st-5th grades) Join Ms. Mary and Ms. Kelsey on Zoom exploring Bible stories of families and friends, also through the lens of the Peanuts gang! Contact amanda@stdave.org to arrange pick-up or drop-off of craft supplies.
  • God Gives Us Friends (Age 3-Kindergarten) Join Mrs. Elaine and Mr. Rex on Zoom exploring examples of friends in the Bible and other ways we minister to each other in our church, community, and home. Each week we enjoy coloring, and playing music together in our Famous Zoom Sunday School Band!

Fellowship and Outreach Online
HANDS FOR HOPE FUNDRAISER
El Buen Samaritano Episcopal Mission is hosting its 31st annual Hands for Hope initiative with the goal to provide holiday meal kits to 2,300 families.

Our parish is participating in a fundraising campaign to raise money for holiday meals. Be a part of this initiative.

El Buen also needs volunteers to help distribute meal kits on the morning of Saturday, Nov. 20. Reserve your spot.

CHRISTIANS IN THE VISUAL ARTS (CIVA) CONFERENCE
St. David's is hosting the CIVA, Christians in the Visual Arts, 2021 biennial conference Nov. 4-6. The installation will be included on the Austin Studio Tour and include the traveling exhibition Again and Again as well as member John Cobb's Ikon Chapel. Parishioners are welcome to participate in multiple conference events, and of course to enjoy the art on loan to St. David's. No registration is necessary for the following offerings:
