JEFFCON 2020 - A Technology Conference for Students
Friday, January 31, 8a - 4p, Jeffco Ed Center, Golden
Designed to inform, engage, and provide growth opportunities for any Jeffco high school student interested in pursuing a career in the field of IT.
  • Over 30 sessions hosted by Jeffco IT staff and reps
  • Keynote speaker: Cassie Roach, VP of Global Public Sector for Cisco
  • Major tech companies participating such as Cisco, Lenovo, Microsoft, Apple, and Kroenke Sports
  • 5 government entities participating: CDOT, NSA, NCAR, USGS, Marines
  • 4 colleges participating: Red Rocks, School of Mines, Front Range, and Metro State
  • $2,500 scholarship will be given

Warren Tech Creative Jam - This Weekend
A 44-hour Event! A Very Authentic Experience.
Friday, January 31 - Sunday, February 2, all day @ Warren Tech Central Campus
Warren Tech’s graphic design, digital photography, game development, computer science/cybersecurity, STEM, and TV/video students will go head-to-head at the Creative Jam. Students are given a theme for which they must dream up a creative project in collaboration with peers from at least one other program. Anything goes , as students simulate workplace challenges in meeting a client’s needs while leveraging the skills of colleagues in other industries. Participants will work day and night to complete their project, and projects will go head to head in competition the week of 2/3, judged by industry partners, and a winner will be crowned 2/6. Drake Middle School Students Win Essay Contest for Submission About Suicide
Two students from Drake Middle School have been announced as the winners of the Denver Post 's Teen Essay Contest, for which teens around the state submitted personal stories about their experience with mental health and suicide. Hear the winners' moving musical essay here .
Equity and Excellence Art Show at the Jeffco Ed Center
Opens Thursday, January 30, through March 31
Come see this amazing student art on display in our headquarter building. The art is about celebrating equity and diversity and is something to see! Awards will be given March 6.
Devinny Elementary Student Art Show at Children's Hospital Aurora
On display through March 1
Children’s Hospital in Aurora is hosting an art exhibit in their Hamilton Gallery of Devinny Elementary student art! Devinny's art teacher, an artist herself, connected with the hospital while installing some of her own artwork at the Colorado Springs campus, and what a collaboration came of it! Over 160 students in grades kindergarten through 5 created works that are now part of this first-time student art display in this gallery. In addition, the Devinny student council held an art supply drive and donated the collection to the therapy department at Children's.
