A
Message
from our Chairwoman of the Board
Greetings Chamber Members!
Well the Summer heat is here, and things are heating up all over town. We have the AV Fair in town which means Fair Parade and "Dress and Decorate" contests brought to you by our own Lancaster Chamber. We appreciate all the efforts from the Chamber Staff and volunteers to make these events a success. The Mayor informed us at the "State of the City" Chamber Luncheon, of the exciting new things happening and yet to happen all around Lancaster. Local Children are gearing up for back to school and everyone is getting in those last few vacation days. It is definitely a fun time of year and I hope you are all enjoying the season.
As for businesses, it can be a thriving or struggling time of year, depending on your industry. We at the Lancaster Chamber hope you are taking advantage of all that the Chamber has to offer. Make sure your Chamber web page is up to date, we have many visitors to the site and want to make sure your business is displayed properly. Do you have an event coming up? Let us know, we'll add it to the Chamber Calendar. You can also ask the staff about the new "Texting" promotion that is free to our members. We want to make sure you are getting the most for your membership. Please feel free to contact the office for details on these items as well as networking events and opportunities.
There are many fun things happening this summer and I am looking forward to seeing you all out there!
Katie Nelson
Chairwoman of the Board

How digital innovation has influenced the business model
On average, a person will encounter 5,000 ads and or branding a day. A large part of marketing is
building brand awareness. Get recommendations to rise above the noise.
With the development of apps, it has made our consumers extremely mobile. Find out how
to reach the "on-the-go" consumer.
Social media is an integral part of any marketing strategy, what are some strategies that you
incorporate in your marketing plans?
Data is key to companies being able to make good decisions about products, services, employees,
strategy and more. Recent data has shown we have created 90% of the world's data in the past
year. Research also shows that we are only using 1% of that data effectively. As a marketer, how
are you using 1
st
and 3
rd
party data to make smarter marketing decisions?
