Greetings, My Friends,
August, 2020
is already off to a challenging
and unpredictable start--most likely of our lifetime, with
the
P
andemic, Protests, Politics, Police Brutality,
Poverty,
and
Public Schools,
disproportionately
affecting African Americans and people of color.
W
e are hungry for a
"Change"!
We are wh
o we are and who we have become
because we walked in the footsteps and stood
on the shoulders of those giants and our heroes who
have gone before us to pave the way.
They gave us
HOPE
and
OPTIMISM,
along with our
FAITH
, and fueled us to drive on to our destination of
SUCCESS.
The Honorable John R. Lewis, Congressman
from
Georgia, was one such amazing man, who passed on
July 17th.
He
(affectionately called,
"The Boy from Troy",
by
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.),
was a civil and human rights
icon who was bruised, beaten, bloodied, and jailed over
40 times for his fervent beliefs in the constitutional rights of
"Life, Liberty
and the
Pursuit of Happiness"
for
ALL.
For this reason, and many more, I am dedicating this
August Newsletter to Congressman John Lewis,
also known as the "Conscience of Congress".

Tribute To:
The Honorable
Congressman
John R. Lewis
|

Lewis admonished All of us to
Get in "GOOD TROUBLE", ("NECESSARY TROUBLE); "NEVER GIVE UP"; "NEVER GIVE IN"; "Keep the Faith",
and that "CHANGE"
was going to come.
