The Camden County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants to serve on the Camden County Planning Commission, District 3 Appointment.

The Camden County Planning Commission is comprised of five (5) members appointed by the Board of Commissioners. The Planning Commission is an advisory body that makes recommendations on land use applications. The recommendations from the Planning Commission ultimately go to the Camden County Board of County Commissioners for final approval. The Planning Commission evaluates development projects and land policy proposals which serve to promote community, future land use trends, public health, general welfare, economic prosperity, and overall quality of life for Camden County residents.

The Camden County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants to serve on the Camden County Board of Elections & Registration, District 1 and District 3 Appointments.

The Camden County Board of Elections and Registration is comprised of five members, one from each district, appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. The Board has the powers, duties, and responsibilities of the election superintendent of Camden County; the municipal election superintendent of the City of Kingsland, the City of St. Marys, and the City of Woodbine; and the Board of Registrars of Camden County, which is provided for under Chapter 2 of Title 21 of the O.C.G.A., the “Georgia Election Code.”

Camden County Offices and Courts are closed Thursday and Friday, November 26-27, 2020 for Thanksgiving. Offices and courts will reopen with regular hours on Monday, November 30, 2020.

Curbside Collection for unincorporated Camden County will maintain not run on Thursday, November 26, 2020. Collection will resume on Friday and both Thursday and Friday routes will be one day later. Regular schedules resume on Monday, November 30, 2020.

The Camden County Landfills will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 26, 2020, but will reopen on Friday, November 27, 2020, with regular hours.
