Stewardship Scripture Reflection
The Presentation of the Lord

…they took him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord...
( Luke 2:22)

How seriously do you take being a Catholic? Is “being Catholic” something I just do when I attend Sunday Mass or attend one of my parish functions? It’s easy to be Catholic then, it’s harder to be Catholic when I am out in the world. Would someone recognize you as a Catholic by the way you act, dress, and talk? How do you present yourself to the Lord and to others?

Close to 150 marchers demonstrated for LIFE from the following churches: COKAS, Celebration Baptist Church, Grace Fellowship Church and First Baptist Church.

Baby bottles are coming in thanks to all of you who turned them in this past weekend. If you haven’t turned yours in yet, there is still time. The basket in the back of church will remain through February 2.

Prayer of Petition: In our journey as a faith-filled community during our Year of Service, may we all heed Jesus' call to love one another. May we show our love by sacrificial acts of service in our families, parish and communities. Let us pray to the Lord.

Forgiveness Retreat:
Find Freedom of Heart this Lent
Monastery in Conyers             March 13-15
Forgiveness is not forgetting but receiving the gift of inner freedom that enables us to let go of the past and not allow it to define us, our relationships, and even our futures. This retreat offers tools for experiencing the kind of forgiveness that enables us to forgive others and even one's self – often the most challenging and necessary form of forgiveness.
