City of Westland to Hold Recycling Town Hall

Westland, MI (January 31, 2020) - On Tuesday, February 11, Mayor William R. Wild and the City's Administration will hold a town hall meeting to update residents on the current status of recycling and answer questions relating to the upcoming sanitation fund ballot proposal. The town hall will take place at 6:00 p.m. in the Gene McKinney Grand Ballroom inside Westland City Hall, located at 36300 Warren Rd.

The City of Westland suspended its curbside recycling program in 2019 due to rising costs associated with a change in the global recycling market.

The March 10, 2020 Primary Presidential Election ballot will include a ballot proposal for Westland residents to consider a 1 mill increase to stabilize the city's sanitation fund.
