August 2019
Here at Unity Church Hill Nursery it's cozy and dry in the August sunshine. While some of our stock is working on lush new growth following some regular pruning, new perennials are arriving, budding, and flowering. Native favorites like Black Eyed Susan, Sneezeweed, Purple Coneflower, and Turtle Head are ready to plant for autumn and late summer color! During this summer heat, why not transform you backyard with the refreshing water sounds of a stone fountain? In and around the nursery we have a wide selection of fountains and water features to shop and explore. Up at the farm stand we also have a well rounded selection of plant care products and fertilizers to help with any mid season deficiencies or pests.

This Saturday, August 3rd, we're having our tent sale, showcasing savings of up to 75% on a variety of overstock home and garden tools and supplies.

At Unity Farm we are harvesting our summer crops while planting for fall. Our farmstand is stocked with delicious, sweet watermelons, a variety of peppers and other summer favorites like okra, tomatillos, summer squash, cucumbers and more. We are focused on providing healthy, clean produce grown with methods that build our soils and encourage diversity of life at our farm through the use of cover crops, composting, no-till  methods, intercropping, and by not using any chemicals. Interested in seeing our farm in production? We are hosting a farm tour organized through Adkin's Arboretum on Sunday, September 15, 1-3pm. For more information or to register, click
