Gender (In)Equality

The 2020  Global Gender Gap Report  highlights the impact of disproportionate unpaid work done by women: "
Without changing legislation, cultural and social attitudes towards the relative amount of time women spend on unpaid domestic work and care, the burden of household and care duties will not be re-balanced, a situation that will continue to undermine women's opportunities."

"These are remarkable, how widespread [the gaps] are. [...] We need to continue to study them, understand them and think about what policies might be appropriate to address them."

This short feature focuses on  concrete examples of how gender-based analysis, a tool that 150,000 federal civil servants have already been trained to use, has the ability and potential to make a difference in the lives of girls and women - as well as boys and men.
