Fall Used Book and Homemade Bake Sale

Get a great deal on a used book and delicious baked good!  All proceeds go to the Friends of the Library, a nonprofit organization that supports the library by providing funds for materials, equipment and events.

Local History Family Bingo - Thursday, Sept. 19 / 6:00 - 7:00
Bring the whole family to a local history talk!  Library Director, Cathy Forst, will present a fun bingo for the kids along with interesting local history facts for the adults.

Heritage Festival Parade - Saturday, Sept. 21 / 10:00AM
Any student who participated in this year's summer reading program is welcome to walk with the library staff and CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG in the Heritage Festival Parade.  Please call us or stop by to register with your name and email address; we will forward all details before the event.  SPONSORED BY THE FRIENDS!

Shiawassee Pavilion Book Walk - Saturday, Sept. 21 / 1:00-2:30
Come walk and land on the lucky square to win a free book!  Fun for all ages and totally free!  Takes place at the Shiawassee Pavilion near baseball fields / playground area off of the Civic Center drive.  Sponsored by Friends of the Library.

Davisburg Doctor of Death - Tuesday, Sept. 24 / 6:00 - 7:30
In 1880, Davisburg doctor, Nathan Hall, was accused of poisoning his wife.  Come hear this fascinating true crime / local history talk and decide if he was guilty!

Little Movers and Shakers 
(also known as "Little Me" storytime)

Ages 2.5 - 4
Meets on Mondays starting September 9th
10:15AM

Join us as we move, dance, and sing along to children's music, followed by stories, crafts, and playtime with friends.  The program incorporates the five reading readiness practices of talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing.

Toddler Time Storytime

Ages 10 months - 30 months
Meets on Tuesdays starting September 10th

Get out of the house and into the library for 10 weeks of gentle stories, songs, fingerplays and a craft.  We will introduce the five reading readiness practices of talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing.
