He was predeceased by his wife Golda and a daughter, Rachel.
Funeral services
will be held on:
- Sunday, Aug. 25
- 2:30 p.m.
- The Emanuel Synagogue Chapel, 160 Mohegan Drive, West Hartford, CT
Interment will immediately follow at the Hartford Mutual Society, 51 Wolcott Road, East Granby.
Following interment, the family will receive visitors at the Smolar residence, 80 Fuller Drive, West Hartford. They will join the minyan at The Emanuel at 7:00 p.m.
Shiva will continue at the Smolar home Monday-Thursday, from 3:00-9:00 p.m., with minyan at 7:30 p.m.
