A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR KLING
Nampa is growing and many new amazing companies have joined our community, some of which you may not know about yet. Almost everyone knows about Amazon, but have you heard about Autovol? (And no, it's not a car dealership.)

Autovol is an incredibly sophisticated manufacturer of modular units located north of the Sorrento Lactalis (cheese) factory off of Star Road and currently has 123 employees--and hiring for several more. As shared on their website, "The factory floor is approximately 400,000 square feet, with an adjoining office space of 30,000 square feet. The factory combines human and robotic functions. It can produce multiple extremely high-quality living units each day. Finished modular units are shipped to the final building site. At the site, they’re assembled into apartments, condos, and hotels in a few weeks’ time."
The use of robotics in this fashion is the first in the country and the speed at which they can produce a finished modular unit is extremely impressive. Some of the robotics used in Autovol's production line were also made by Nampa's robotics company House of Design.

But what stood out to me even more than their innovative culture is their people culture and how they value and treat their employees, or "solutioneers" as they are called. Listening to CEO/Co-Founder, Rick Murdock, and Merrick Macomber, Executive Assistant to the CEO and Co-Founder, Autovol is blending institutional knowledge of experienced employees with passion and vision to grow the next generation of their company's leaders. (And you should see their game room!)

We are thankful for the many companies in our community and hope to feature more "Made in Nampa" businesses in the future. If you have ideas or would like to invite us to tour your Nampa facility, please reach out to my office (mayor@cityofnampa.us / 208.468.5401).

Mayor Debbie Kling, pictured here with staff, recently enjoyed lunch at Cafe' de Coco in Downtown Nampa to celebrate their 15th anniversary in business. Needless to say, the past year has been difficult for most small businesses and we wanted to help celebrate and support all they’ve done to survive and thrive! Happy 15th anniversary!! We are so thankful you’re in Nampa!

We have been keeping an eye on the new mural being painted on the west side of the downtown parking garage. It will be a great addition to our downtown when completed! The artists expect it to be completed this month. Go check it out!

LOCAL COVID-19 VACCINE INFORMATION
UPDATE FROM SAINT ALPHONSUS
Travis Leach, President | Saint Alphonsus Medical Center Nampa

Saint Alphonsus is proud to do our part in getting our community vaccinated. We are now offering vaccines at our Meridian location (old Gordman’s building) 4 days a week, vaccinating roughly 4,500 people per week. Since opening up vaccinations, Saint Alphonsus has administered over 60,000 vaccinations to our community. We are using our Saint Alphonsus Mobile Health Clinic to serve our vulnerable and underserved populations with vaccinations, including several locations in Canyon County. There have been a lot of questions around each vaccine’s success rate, but from our perspective, all three vaccines have been proven successful at keeping people from getting severe COVID-19 symptoms and being hospitalized. At this time, anyone 16 years or older who lives or works in Idaho is eligible for the vaccine. Visit SaintAlphonsus.org for more information on vaccines and COVID-19 or to schedule an appointment for a vaccine, please visit SaintAlphonsus.org/getvaccinated.
