Note: Many of SPAAR's classes provide Minnesota real estate continuing education. Continuing education courses must be attended in their entirety in order to receive credit for the number of approved hours (MN Statute 45.30 Subd.4a).  See full list of classes here .
Be in the know about open house discussions this month in Saint Paul

Members are invited to join SPAAR advocacy staff at two public open houses concerning the Ford Site and Ramsey County.
 
The Tuesday, August 27, event will discuss transportation and the Ford Site from 6-8 pm at the Highland Park Community Center, 1978 Ford Pkwy. The Ford Site is 139 acres along the Mississippi River in the Highland Park neighborhood of Saint Paul, located south of Ford Parkway, east of Mississippi River Boulevard, and west of Cleveland Avenue.
 
The Thursday, August 29, event will discuss the county's proposed 9.46 percent levy increase over the next two years. It will be held at 10:30 am at Saint Paul City Hall, 15 W Kellogg Blvd.

Two SPAAR members will be chosen at random for posting a picture with the SPAAR bench (it can be a selfie or with others). P ost your photo to social media with #spaarbench in the caption. Winners will be announced after Labor Day. We look forward to seeing your pictures!
2020 annual sponsorship opportunities are available

SPAAR will be mailing out its 2020 annual sponsorship booklets to all primary Affiliate members this month. The booklets highlight upcoming events and the sponsorship opportunities to match.

Pack the Bus campaign prepares area students for the year ahead

SPAAR Community Engagement Committee member Marsha Burgeson delivered 1,000 notebooks to Wilder Foundation staff. The notebooks will be distributed to children served by Wilder's programs throughout the East Metro.

Thanks to all SPAAR members who donated backpacks, school supplies or monetary gifts to this year's Pack the Bus to help send area children back to school ready for the year!
Complete your Required Module and Code of Ethics in the same day

It's almost time for back to school! Check off all of your requirements in one day at SPAAR's Requirement Blitz on September 27.

The Requirement Blitz will ensure you complete  3.75 CE Hours for the 2019/20 Required Module: Agency, Fair Housing, and Energy Efficiency as well as 
2.5 CE Hours for the 2019/20 NAR Code of Ethics.
 
Not able to commit to September? SPAAR will offer Requirement Blitzes in October, January, February and March, as well. Keep an eye on SPAAR's calendar for more detail.

Back again is the popular Dresser Build! Be sure to sign up to help build dressers at Bridging for new homeowners. It's a fun event to engage with those in the industry and all for a good cause. A free lunch is to follow at Grumpy's in Roseville.
