Milstein Family Foundation Newsletter
At last, we are witnessing a historic shift in the Middle East: the normalization of relations between Arab countries and Israel. This summer, the U.S. brokered the Abraham Accords, normalization agreements between the Jewish state and two Arab countries— the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. In October, Israel and Sudan also reached an agreement. More are expected to follow.

Co-written by Adam and The Heritage Foundation Vice President James Jay Carafano, Arab-Israeli normalization is the way to peace with Palestinians explains the historical importance of Arab countries finally welcoming peace and normalization with Israel. It also sheds a light on how the accords call into question the basic premise of the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement which advocates for the anti-normalization and delegitimization of the State of Israel.

At the same time, we are still fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. During these challenging times, Stand By Me, a nonprofit led by Gila, continues to provide care and services to Israeli-American cancer patients and their families in Los Angeles. Please consider a kind donation to ensure that Stand By Me can continue fulfilling its mission and improve the lives of thousands of families.

We are thrilled to join AISH Los Angeles as honorees for their 2020 AISH Trustee “in person” Banquet later this month. The event will also feature Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, an international religious leader, philosopher, and moral voice. If you'd like to attend or make a donation to AISH Los Angeles, please email Rabbi Aryeh Markman or visit their website.

Lastly, we invite you to learn about NGO Monitor, a globally recognized nonprofit research institute promoting democratic values and good governance. They work to expose and hold accountable non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that claim to advance human rights but in fact promote anti-Israel and antisemitic positions. We are proud to support their critical work.

With sincere love and admiration for the State of Israel and the Jewish people,

Gila and Adam Milstein
The article, first published in the Washington Examiner on October 20, 2020, was co-written by James Jay Carafano of The Heritage Foundation and Adam Milstein.
"The United States and like-minded allies should launch a pro-normalization campaign. Jewish-Americans and pro-Israel activists must build an alliance with Arab Americans and Muslims who share the views of the UAE and Bahrain — and to some degree, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan — that peace, prosperity, and normalization is the way forward."
Stand By Me
"With a warm heart and open arms, Stand By Me is the extended family in support of its brothers and sisters on their road to recovery."

- President, Gila Milstein

MFF Featured Organization: NGO Monitor
NGO Monitor is the leading nonprofit organization combating the delegitimization campaign against Israel globally. They develop and disseminate actionable fact-based research about politicized non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that claim to advance human rights but insert themselves into the political arena, publicly espousing anti-Israel, often antisemitic, positions.

To eliminate or reduce the funding of anti-Israel NGOs, NGO Monitor confronts the organizations as well as their funders and enablers, who often work behind the scenes, naming and shaming the governmental and private funders, when necessary.

NGO Monitor’s efforts have resulted in cuts of more than $66 million from governments to NGOs promoting hate, antisemitism, and demonization of Israel.

NGO Monitor also exposed European government funding to NGOs with direct ties to terror groups, leading other governments to halt their support and implement new and more appropriate NGO funding policies.

MFF is proud to support NGO Monitor.
