Ventura County Tentatively Passes 2040 General Plan
BIA-LAV testified on Ventura County's 2040 General Plan adoption during the Board of Supervisors hearing. The proposed General Plan Update contains a Climate Action Plan, increased set-backs and stands to reduce housing production opportunities.
The Board gave staff two more weeks to make changes to address accessibility to view the Plan and clarify language. The next hearing is September 15. For questions contact Diana Coronado.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works provided an update on how to schedule time for a 1-on-1 appointment for residential development projects. Also included is information on appointments for zoning and planning issues. Click the button for the full alert.
Today, in the Planning & Land Use Management Committee, Councilman Gil Cedillo brought up a "Local Hire" motion. The motion directs staff to draft an ordinance to require that all Development Agreements include a local hire component. We will be working with the author to ensure our interests are represented.
