Greetings!

Happy last days of summer. Schools are back in session, the evenings are cooling off, and the warm days of plenty mean that huckleberries and blackberries are abundant for animals and people alike. It's also time to be looking towards fall and I invite you to join us for our annual Dinner on the Pacific Plate fundraiser. The "Plate" is much more than a fundraiser. It is a chance to connect with other folks who love the park, enjoy a guided hike or program with our best naturalists and park staff partners, and share a beautiful meal under a magical tent.
The Party turns 10 this year and we are celebrating both the park and the people who love it. This year we are honoring the event's founders, Betty Anne Carlin and Steve Costa. Betty Anne and Steve were two of the first people I met after joining PRNSA in 2010 and I couldn't have had more supportive guides to my new job. I invite you to join me in raising a glass on October 12th to these two indefatigable volunteers and the work they have championed to protect and preserve Point Reyes National Seashore and ensure that people, and especially children, of all backgrounds have a chance to learn, play, and be inspired by our remarkable park.

I also invite you to join the conversation about Point Reyes National Seashore's proposed General Management Plan Amendment on August 27th in Point Reyes Station and August 28th in Sausalito. Please visit the park's website for the draft environmental impact statement for the proposed amendment . We are excited about the clarity the amendment will bring to park operations and encourage you to share your thoughts with National Park Service staff at a meeting or by commenting on the plan online.

Enjoy these final days of summer and thank you for all you do to support your park!

Warmly,
Donna Faure Signature

Event Partner Highlight
Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company
We are proud to be partnering with Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company for the tenth year as one of our beloved cocktail reception hosts for Dinner on the Pacific Plate . What began in 1904 with Tobias Giacomini and his dream of farming the fabled, fertile lands of California is today a world-class dairy and creamery operated by the Giacomini sisters (Tobias' great-granddaughters). In August of 2000 the first wheels of Original Blue, California's only classic style blue cheese, were introduced to Bay Area consumers.

Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company now carries seven cheeses and has been named 2019 Small Business of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration's San Francisco District Office due to their sustainability practices and for creating their award-winning , artisanal cheeses .

If you attend our 10 year celebration and flagship fundraiser of Dinner on the Pacific Plate please stop by the Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company booth and congratulate them on their 2019 award while savoring some of their delicious cheeses.
