Calendars mailed to currently-enrolled families
The 2019-20 District Calendar & Family Handbook was mailed to currently-enrolled families on Aug. 16. Extra copies will be available at each school and the district office beginning Monday, Aug. 26. Electronic copies of the calendar and handbook are also available. 
Required immunizations for school attendance 
Each year, the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) publishes a list of immunizations required for school-age children . All Washington public schools abide by these requirements. More information about vaccines, including resources for families, can be found on the DOH website

School supply lists available online
School supply lists for students in kindergarten through 9th-grade are available here. The lists have been standardized by grade level to reduce the cost of supplies for our families. Lake Stevens High School students will be notified of specific supply needs by their individual teachers. 

The Hungry Hearts Foundation is hosting a Back to School Event for families in need tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Calvary Chapel, 9428 4th St SE.

We love our volunteers! Get started today
We love our volunteers! Opportunities exist for everyone, no matter how much time you can give.  All volunteers must be screened prior to serving in our schools. To get started, complete an online application through SafeVisitor Screenings are good for two years. All volunteers must be screened!

After being approved, you will receive a welcome email and be assigned an electronic badge. When volunteering in our schools, you'll show the badge, which is accessible through the SafeVisitor mobile app (free download on App Store or Google Play . School office staff can print you a badge if you aren't able to access the electronic version.

Please bring a government issued, valid photo identification with you to the school on your first visit.


If you are interested in volunteering in your child's classroom, please connect with your child's teacher about opportunities. 

NOTE: If your child moved to a new school this year, your volunteer screening is still valid if it was completed within the last two years. Screening is not school-specific, it is managed at the district level.
