Highlights of Presentation and Discussion Items


The following items were presented to the Board:
Finance Report -
As of July, 2019 the Board learned the system is at 4.67  percent for the budget year. The Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax revenues for July 2019 were down .54 percent from 2018 collections and down 3.87 percent from last month. A financial statement, investment reports, and bond summaries were also shared, as well as a detailed capital projects analysis. 
Safety Update -
Todd Shirley, Chief Operations Officer, presented an update on safety at our schools.  The Safety Presentation is attached.
Calendar Timeline - -
Joey Pirkle, Deputy Superintendent, presented the timeline for the 2021-2022 school calendar.
 

Highlights of
Action Items
The following items were approved:

ES #23 Contract Ratification-
The Board approved by unanimous vote to ratify the contract for ES #23. 

City of Cumming - City Center IGA -
The Board approved by unanimous vote to approve the Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Cumming conveying a 11.147 acre tract to the City of Cumming for the development of additional Forsyth Central HS student parking.
