Back to School: Resources for Families
As children and youth head back to learning next week, CTN created a resource page brimming with tips and recommendations to help families navigate through this new school year. The resource page is full of useful information from the Ministry, school boards, community agencies and other children's treatment centres.

What does back to learning look like in your house? Starting Tuesday, September 8th, share a photo of your child on our Facebook page and you could win 1 of 4 $25 Amazon or Walmart gift cards! All photos will be entered to a random draw and used for a back to school collage on our Facebook cover and October edition of Connect. Contest closes on Friday, September 18th.
 

Celebrate World Cerebral Palsy (CP) Day on October 6th 
CP-Net is excited to invite families, caregivers, clients, healthcare professionals and researchers to join them for a day of learning and celebration in recognition of World CP Day on Tuesday, October 6th. The event will feature research and community resources from internationally renowned experts and individuals with lived experience. Learn more and register by Tuesday, September 22nd. 


New Kerry's Place Learning Portal 
Kerry's Place Autism Services launched a new and free learning webpage called "The Portal". It's a resource page full of videos, webinars and printable resources for persons with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), their families, educators and anyone interested to learn about ASD.

Mental Health Series: Anxiety Lives Here
CTN's neuropsychology team created a series of posts around mental health. Please read the last installment in the series about coping strategies for anxiety. CTN also developed a mental health resource page with a list of services and supports available to families.
