COVID-19 Updates
North Beach Food Distribution
Commissioner David Richardson's office will host a drive-thru distribution in North Beach tomorrow, April 7. Please note, the Wednesday drive-thru food distribution in North Beach will continue for the month of April.

COVID-19 Testing
Drive-thru and walk-up COVID-19 testing continues on 17 Street and Convention Center Drive. We encourage you to preregister for the walk-up site by clicking here.

Please note the Drive-Thru testing is now being offered by Nomi Health and will be open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The PCR test is completed with a swab of the throat that is administered by a health care professional. Each person in the vehicle can be tested, including Children 5 years and older. No symptoms are required. Testing is done by appointment only and results will be provided by email or text within 24 hours.

COVID-19 Vaccines
Miami-Dade County continues to work with hospitals and health care partners to vaccinate members of our community against COVID-19 as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Appointments can be made at miamidade.gov/vaccine. Spanish speakers can visit miamidade.gov/vacuna. Information is available on on federal, tsate and other vaccination sites (CVS Health, Publix, Walmart, Winn-Dixie and Fresco y Mas, etc).

Better Bus Network Community Meeting
Join a virtual community meeting on Thursday, April 8 to learn about Miami-Dade County's bus system redesign – The Better Bus Network. The Better Bus Network has been a community-driven effort since 2018, and will drastically improve service by connecting more residents to more opportunities. Miami-Dade County is now currently on track to implement the Better Bus Network by November 2021.

Board of Adjustment Meeting

All Stars Summer Camp
During the FREE 8-week summer program, teens will have the opportunity to learn, create and make experiential and project-based learning activities using science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. In addition, teens will have a chance to apply their newly learned STEAM skills through designing a product/service and creating a business plan. They will also engage in cooking, nutrition and fitness classes and will be offered daily academic supports provided by MDCPS to address summer and possible COVID-19 related learning loss.

Daily meals and transportation to and from North Shore Park Youth Center are provided. Weekly field trips are planned to fun and inspiring locations!

Family Cooking Classes
The Miami Beach Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with Common Threads has brought back family cooking classes!

These Sunday classes focus on family participation, healthy ingredient substitutions and convenient cost-saving recipes. Their goal is to teach families how to cook together and incorporate healthy habits at home, while maintaining their existing traditions.

Sessions are on going on select Sundays now through May with two time slots, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Scott Rakow Youth Center.
