New Mural
Taking
Shape
In Fondren

The public art scene in Fondren will soon have a new addition. In collaboration with Fondren Renaissance , Laurilyn and Tom Fortner have commissioned a mural on the outside of Fondren Corner. The mural will feature a self-portrait created by the Fortners' daughter, Frances , who was killed in a May 2018 car accident. Scott Allen of A Plus Signs & Creative, Inc ., is spearheading the project with artistic input from Laurilyn Fortner . " Frances was a Fondren girl so we really wanted the mural to be in Fondren," said Laurilyn . Read more about the mural project in the Sept. 9 newsletter, and keep up with mural progress on FRF's Facebook page :
