Does communicating with upper leadership cause a lump in your throat? Feel like you are not getting the information you need? Do you feel tongue-tied (or finger-tied with written communication)? Then please join us as Danielle Rourke shares helpful techniques for communicating with upper leadership.
Danielle Rourke has over 10 years of IT and business analysis experience in telecommunications, tax and audit, agricultural and food processing, and higher education. In every organization she serves, Danielle communicates regularly with managers, directors, and CEOs. Danielle is currently the Associate Director of Student and Academic IT Services of the Business Analysis and Solution Architecture group at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado.

You do have to be a member of the IIBA International Organization in order to join the IIBA Denver Chapter. Join IIBA through their website at www.iiba.org.
So, you decided you want your CBAP and think you may qualify. Your next thought may be "Ugh, how do I get all my hours together and get all my studying done?" I had the same thought. I couldn't get myself to sit down and get the party started. The whole process was so daunting to me. How does one put this all together and pass the test and keep up with a job and take care of a home life?
It's a lot of work, but you can do it! You're a BA. You are a master at organization and figuring out the best way to tackle complex tasks at hand. I have full confidence in you and you should too.
After the blood, sweat, and tears I shed during my journey, these are the lessons I learned.
IIBA is a non-profit organization for Business Analyst professionals. The goal of the local Denver Chapter is to support IIBA by (1) advancing the role of the Business Analyst as a recognized profession, (2) support opportunities for members to network with, and gain knowledge from, seasoned BA practitioners as well as industry and government leaders, (3) provide access for members to a formal "knowledge base" as well as forums for sharing expertise, expressing professional opinions and building a reputation within the industry, (4) provide pathways to learn about business analysis best practices, and (5) obtain and sustain a level of financial security, sustainability, and autonomy at the local level.
