WHAT'S NEW
WHO IS TAKING OVER THE LIBRARY?
Our Library Takeover programs have been a huge success! In August 2019, we announced the Library Takeover awardees who received a grant for the design and implementation of their library program or event. Colectivo Cultural de NFO/Culture Collective of NFO has taken over Fair Oaks Branch Library with their Family Paint Night, Open Mic night, and still to come in March, a Drumming Circle Night. Casa Círculo Cultural has begun their Hero's Journey programs, which teach kids to call upon their inner hero to face life-challenges with confidence, power, and humility. In March, we look forward to our Veteran's Resource Fair and the art opening for April's Autism Goes to Work.

REDWOOD CITY'S
ART TREE
You are the Tree at the Art Kiosk on Courthouse Square is a community-focused artwork which celebrates local labor and sustainability of Redwood City and California as members of our shared global citizenry. Over 30 Redwood City small businesses and organizations have contributed their industry byproducts for You are the Tree. Our very own beekeeper, Sager Family Farm, contributed wax.
Research assistance was provided by the Redwood City Public Library Local History Room and the San Mateo County History Museum. The exhibit is on view until March 8. Don't miss this inspiring community based artwork!
