WRAPPING IT UP

It is with great Laker pride in this issue to see one of our Criminal Justice Alums receive accolades as the Sheriff of the Year for the entire State of Michigan and another recent alumna in the early stages of her career as an officer in Richfield Township. We appreciate the honorable work our alumni do to keep their citizens safe.

Your alma mater continues to prepare our students for future rewarding careers like examples above. This week we witnessed our Fire Science students gaining hands-on experience in extinguishing a Mock Dorm Burn in the middle of campus. Meanwhile, LSSU students in our Fishery & Wildlife program are involved in the annual Atlantic Salmon harvest at the CFRE Hatchery in the east end of the Cloverland Electric Power Plant. "Laker Learning" continues to thrive in spite of some of the challenges related to Covid-19.

We hope you all remain safe and healthy.

Go Lakers!
