IAFP Legislative Updates
The Iowa Legislature is in session. We are pleased to bring you updates of the Iowa Legislature and report on issues that are important to family physicians put together by IAFP lobbyists, David Adelman and Sara Allen. Bi-weekly e-mails are currently going out to all members. As a reminder, you can always access these updates and other legislative information here: www.iaafp.org/2021-Legislative-Updates/

Physician Business Leadership
Certification Program
The Iowa Academy of Family Physicians is partnering with the Iowa Hospital Association, Iowa Medical Society and the Iowa Healthcare Collaborative on a program in its third year to provide Physician Business Leadership training to physicians in Iowa. Participants in this program will gain tools to become successful leaders in today’s complex health care environment.

There are five virtual sessions scheduled between February 23rd and August 10th along with additional requirements of pre and post-work, including assessments. Please review the brochure for details about the program, expectations of participation, course work and registration.

We will still provide weekly updates while in session so please check your email for important updates. We will also call on you from time to time to use the AAFP Speak Out feature to communicate concerns to your legislators on issues as they arise.
