The Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Department will once again be selling discounted tickets to Jolly Roger Amusement Parks. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, July 8 at the Ocean Pines Community Center. Read more.
Beach Body Boarding 3-Day Camp Starts July 7
This 3-camp for kids ages 7-15 will be held from 10:30 a.m.- 12 p.m. at the beach on 37th St. in Ocean City. Additional camps will be offered July 21-23 and Aug. 4-6. Read more.
Evening Water Aerobics Starts July 7
This fun, energetic exercise program will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:15-7 p.m. at the Mumford's Landing Pool through Aug. 13. Read more.
Spaces Still Available for Jr. Golf Camp
Spaces still remain for three sessions of jr. golf camp in Ocean Pines. Kids ages 5-14 will receive instruction in swing basics, rules, irons, woods, chipping and putting. The next session will be held July 13-16 from 9:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. Read more.
OPA Police “Drive Through” to Honor Retired Anne Arundel Officer
Ocean Pines Police on Monday held a “drive-through” escort for retired Anne Arundel County Police Cpl. George Juckett. Juckett, who retired in 1990 after 30 years of experience, is currently staying at the Macky & Pam Stansell House Coastal Hospice, in Ocean Pines.  Read more.
Pines Man Does Good Deed, Restores Popular Park Bench
Ocean Pines resident Bruce Blackway recently took it upon himself to restore a frequently used park bench in his Goldeneye Court neighborhood.  Read more.

Bay Day 2020 Canceled, Plans Underway for 2021 Event
Bay Day in Ocean Pines has been canceled for 2020, but event organizers are already looking forward to the event's return on May 16, 2021. The uncertainty of restrictions related to COVID-19 led to the decision to cancel this year's event. Read more.

Comcast this week continues to work on infrastructure in several areas of Ocean Pines. Additionally, residents in Sectors 1 and 2 are now eligible to sign up for service. Read more.

Upcoming Events/Meetings
The Pine'eer Artisan Gift Shop Now Open
The Pine'eer Artisan Gift Shop is now open Saturdays 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. Masks are required, and only credit card payments are currently accepted. The shop is located in White Horse Park next to the Ocean Pines Administration Building.

Shepherd's Nook & Flea Market Open
The Shepherd's Nook and Flea Market at the Community Church at Ocean Pines and Sarah's Pantry are open. All facilities require that masks be worn inside. The Nook will be restricted to 8 customers entering at a time and the flea market will be limited to 5 customers at a time. The direct phone number for the Nook and Sarah's Pantry is 410-641-8392. Hours of operation are Wednesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Ocean Pines Anglers Club Asking for Catch Data
Members of the Ocean Pines Anglers Club are asking local anglers to log and submit their catch data, to help improve statistics that govern recreational fishing. To view the form, visit https://fishinoc.com/fish-data.

July 23: Republican Women of Worcester County Red, White and Blue Luncheon/Meeting
The July Red, White and Blue Luncheon and General Meeting of the Republican Women of Worcester County will be held at the Carousel Hotel in Ocean City. The guest speakers will be Diana Waterman, president of Maryland Federation of Republican Women, and Maryland State Senator Mary Beth Carozza. The cost of the luncheon is $22 per person. August 1: Ocean Pines Chamber of Commerce 13th Annual Flounder Tournament
Lines in at 7 a.m., lines out at 3 p.m. Weigh-in at the Ocean Pines Marina (behind the Yacht Club) from 12-4 p.m. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, plus calcuttas. $45 per angler, or $40 each groups of two or more. Register online by July 31 at oceanpineschamber.org.
