After years of anti-gun violence organizing we came together as a community to unveil a peace mural and garden last week in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. Leading up to this event, we worked with multiple local and state departments, policy makers, and organizations, as well as in partnership with Parkland High School students.
This project came together through a beautiful collaborative effort with Magnolia Street Garden Group,Dorchester Bay Economic Development, ACE and others. The talented artist Alex Cook worked with young people and the community to design and paint the mural. Our summer program cleaned the site and helped paint the wall with the important message of LOVE.
We were joined by community members and Nora Baston, Superintendent, Boston Police Department, Brenda Cassellius, Superintendent of Boston Public Schools
State Representatives Liz Miranda and Chynah Tyler, Boston City Councilors Kim Janey and Annissa Essabi George.
We thank everybody who helped make this project a reality and hope this garden space becomes a place for connection and peace in the community.

Climate Change Curriculum. The climate change curriculum is one part of our climate justice campaign and is free and available for all schools and districts to use.
