Greetings from Jim Morton - CFCC President
|
|
We've had a great summer at CFCC, and now, we look forward to fall — a new semester of classes begins, and with it brings new faces, new programs, and good news. Enrollment patterns are trending upward from this time last year!
There is nothing better than the start of each semester as the college comes back to life with the fun and energy that our students bring to campus. As we look forward to the coming year, let's take a quick look at a few recent events at Cape Fear Community College...

Haircuts are just $5, and we offer a variety of other services, including mustache trims, facials and basic color.
K-12 children can get FREE back-to-school haircuts from August 19-22!

We are proud of our history and partnerships with Duke Energy.
We couldn't be more pleased to receive this recognition for our Hurricane Florence recovery effort, where we allowed Duke Energy to establish a 2,500 person staging area at our North Campus.
“We are extremely grateful for this commendable recognition,” said CFCC President Jim Morton. “The growth of this continued partnership is an exciting prospect for the future development of not only Cape Fear Community College, but coastal North Carolina as a whole.”
Duke Energy played an instrumental role in the launch of CFCC's Electrical Lineworker Training program with a $200,000 Apprenticeship grant. We continue to rely on Duke Energy's insight for future program developments.

CFCC In-Service Event
August 13, 2019
|
Each year, CFCC hosts our Employee In-Service event — a day where we recognize employee achievement, provide college updates and enjoy workshops and campus tours. It's a great way to renew, re-energize, and get to know our colleagues better. This year's theme was "Let CFCC Take You Higher." That is our goal for staff and students — to take you higher in your career at CFCC and your career in our community. Let CFCC equip you with the tools you need to fly high with the career of your dreams!
