Soccer Tournament Update
Saturday, August 10, 2019, was our 12th Annual Soccer for a Cause Tournament - where we raised an incredible $12,400!

Thank you to our presenting sponsor, A Vournou Construction Management Group for not only being our sponsor but for also entering a team to play!
We also want to thank Geoffrey from GEM Entertainment for donating his time to DJ this event, to all the volunteers from Child Life and CCFK from NYU Winthrop Hospital, Dawn
(our friend and neighbor), Sysco for donating the burgers and hot-dogs, Mario's Pizzeria of Syosset for donating pizza, Joe Visconti who coordinates the volunteers who helped sell all the food and cold beverages at the Shack and Chef Paul for working the grill.

Special shout out to the President of Hicksville Soccer, Mike Wallace for having MMF be the first tournament to play on the newly turfed field at Kevin T. Kolm Memorial Park! We would also like to thank Brian Horvath, from MMU and also a MMF board member. He was not able to attend because he and his wife just had their third child, a beautiful baby girl, congratulations! Brian was a big part of making this event happen.
School Supply Drive Update
Last week members of Girl Scout Troop 1281, troop leaders and a couple of boys volunteered to organize and pack over 100 backpacks.

Terrie and her team will deliver these backpacks to the Cancer Center For Kids at NYU Winthrop Hospital, NYU Winthrop‘s Pediatric Office in Hempstead and the Outpatient Oncology Clinic at Stony Brook University Hospital.
Our School Supply Drive: Fill A Backpack Program is for children undergoing treatment and their siblings. The children range from kindergarten to high school.

We are so grateful for all the donations this year, the program exceeded our expectations! Thank you to everyone who donated!
Thank You, Parkway Community Church
We would like to thank Parkway Community Church for collecting school supplies and donating them to our School Supply Drive: Fill a Backpack.

The 60 church parishioners collected a very diverse amount of school supplies and 25 backpacks. Thank you so much for your support!
