The drop off and pick up point for students is on the North side (or rear) of LHS. There is no student pick-up in the front of the school as this area is for buses only. Please do not park in the front LHS parking area to pick up your students.
Both before and after school, parents should enter using the WEST entrance (closest to Angel Parkway) and proceed around the back of LHS. Traffic during the first few days of school is always heavier so please be patient as you wait in line.

Student Schedule Pickup
All students will need to pick up a fresh schedule on the 1st day of school at the following LHS locations:
- Freshmen - left side of the Commons
- Sophomores - right side of the Commons
- Juniors - Auditorium Lobby
- Seniors - Main Gym Lobby before breakfast, Commons after breakfast
NOTE: If your student will not be attending the first day of school, please have them go to the counselors' office upon their return. They will need to see Jan McGill before they can attend any of their classes.
Senior 1st Day Breakfast and Senior Walk
We encourage all Seniors to attend the Senior Breakfast on August 19th beginning at 8:30 am in the LHS Auxiliary Gym. The Senior Walk will take place at 9:30 am. Parents are welcome to join us in the courtyard for some picture taking opportunities! Parents must enter and sign in at the main front entrance of the school. Parking in the back of the school is reserved for students that have purchased parking passes.

Textbooks
Textbook distribution will take place through your individual classes the first week of school. This process will ensure that all students have the opportunity to receive the books they need for home by the end of the first week of school. To assist with transporting their books from class to class and getting them home safely, we suggest that students bring a backpack or bookbag on the 1st day of school. Building Security
In an attempt to support optimum security practices, all building doors will remain locked and closed with limited access during the school day.
As a standard, the only free access door will be the main entrance. During the morning, until 9:45 AM, the courtyard entrance will be accessible for students only. The Auditorium and Gym foyer doors will be locked at all times except during performances and competitions. Students should enter the building through the main entrance or the courtyard.
Students are required to check out through the front office prior to leaving school for any reason. We are a closed campus and no student may leave without prior permission or arrangement. If they are not feeling well, they will need to visit the school clinic to be dismissed by the school nurse.
In the event that students need to leave campus during the school day and they drive themselves to school, we will need you to send an email to [email protected]. Please include the student's name, the time they need to leave, the reason, and a phone number to be used to contact you. Once we have received the email, we may call you for verification, and the email will provide us with the needed documentation for our records.
Schedule Change Information
Students who would like a schedule change will need to fill out a Google Form through grade level Google Classrooms (ex: Class of 2020). Changes will only be made if space is available, and priority will be given to seniors on down to freshmen. Students will not be able to request dropping an AP Course (AP Drop Policy), a specific teacher, or a specific lunch period.

School pictures will take place in the Auditorium Lobby Tuesday, August 20 through Thursday, August 22.
- Senior Portraits are by appointment on Tuesday, August 20th
- Underclassmen photos will be taken on Wednesday, August 21 and Thursday, August 22 through Social Studies classes.
