Recreation All-Star Games
FC Richmond hosted the first Recreation All Star games on November 13th for players identified by our directors of coaching for their overall athleticism, technical abilities, and passion for the game! The goal of the all-star games was to recognize players who were excelling in our recreational program. It was an awesome day full of exciting, competitive games, enthusiastic fans, supportive teammates, and well deserved recognition for these players!

USC Member Club All-American Award
FC Richmond is thrilled for Parker Sloan to be named to the United Soccer Coaches Member Club All-American team. He is incredibly deserving of this honor not only for his consistent impact on the soccer field year after year, but for the example he sets for his teammates and the support and leadership he possesses to make everyone around him better. There aren't many players who come along with so many of these outstanding qualities. We're really proud of Parker's accomplishments and the young man he has become.
Turkey Shootout
Our Classic teams had a blast at the first annual Turkey Shootout, a 3v3 style tournament that took place over the course of two weekends in November. With the Thanksgiving spirit in mind, the teams were named after favorite Thanksgiving dishes. You could overhear the players cheering for the Brussels Sprouts and the Mashed Potatoes as it went down the final stretch to the championship games! It was a day full of fun and laughter! Thank you to all of the volunteers and coaches who helped organize and run the event!
Players of the Season
As the fall season comes to an end, the FC Richmond Junior Board asked all travel team coaches to select a "Player of the Season" who stood out due to their skills, teamwork, leadership, attitude, work ethic or a combination of these qualities. Each player selected will be highlighted on FC Richmond's social media platforms. Congratulations to all who were recognized! Stay tuned for more recognitions in the weeks to come!

Beyond the Game Player of the Month
Ryder Barribeau, a member of the U17 Magic Elite team, represents the FC Richmond motto of “Beyond the Game", as he works hard to reach his full potential both on and off the field. Ryder is a part of the Leadership Program at James River High School. He has volunteered as a leader with his church to organize a luncheon for seniors. He was responsible for setting up tables and preparing food in the church gym. Additionally, Ryder has delivered food to the elderly in assisted living. These are two of Ryder's favorite volunteer experiences because they allowed him to help others across a span of ages. Ryder is a great leader and fully represents our motto of FC Richmond of “Beyond the Game".

Angel Tree
Thank you to all of the teams who supported the Angel Tree program this year! We were able to deliver several car loads full of gifts to the Salvation Army Angel Tree Distribution Center. It was great to see so many teams work together to go Beyond the Game for families in our community.

  • There is a lot of good soccer to watch including world cup qualifying matches, MLS and EPL. Also, come out to watch your FC Richmond Men's and Women's teams compete in the CCL Showcases on January 28-30 at River City SportsPlex. Check the CCL website for schedules.

  • If you're looking for more training please pull a small group together and sign up for Total Soccer Training (TST). Information and registration can be found HERE.

  • Look out for ways to support our U13, U14, U15 and U16 Elite Travel teams who are fundraising for their soccer trips to Arizona and Florida. These are milestone trips that these age groups go on every year as part of their growth and development in FC Richmond. Normally the age groups that travel are the U13 to Florida and U15 to Arizona. Due to Covid, these trips were not taken so we included them this year.
