Coastal Cleanup Day - Saturday, September 21!
Join your neighbors cleaning our shorelines and creeks
I hope you join me and millions of volunteers worldwide participating in this year's International Coastal Cleanup Day  on September 21.

I'm excited to host my 29th Richmond Shoreline Coastal Cleanup based at Shimada Friendship Park, which includes a free lunch for volunteers.

This is a great tradition where our community comes together to clean the marshes, beach and shoreline which is a catchment area for plastic and other debris from San Francisco Bay.

Once again,  a kayak flotilla will join the effort, scooping trash from the waters off the shoreline.

The Richmond Shoreline is one of several Coastal Cleanup Day sites in Contra Costa County.   For a list and map of all Coastal Cleanup sites check the Watershed Project's Coastal Cleanup webpage. This page is updated periodically.

Volunteers for all West County sites are invited to our lunch at Shimada Park at noon.
