Lukoil's hydrocarbon output rises 2.8% in first half excl WQ-2

Af.reuters.com, August 12. 2019: Russia's No.2 oil producer Lukoil said on Monday its average hydrocarbon production excluding the West Qurna-2 project in Iraq rose by 2.8%, year-on-year, in the first half of the year, amounting to 2.352 million barrels per day. Oil production, excluding the project, totalled 42.6 million tonnes for the half year, up 1.3% year-on-year.  Read more...

Russia & India discuss Arctic energy projects & plan to sign dozens of B2B deals

Rt.com, August 12, 2019: India and Russia are in talks over possible gas projects in the Arctic, India's Minister of Trade and Industry Piyush Goyal said in Vladivostok where delegations from both states are meeting ahead of the Eastern Economic Forum. "We have a very strong energy partnership with Russia [...] Our ministers responsible for energy are already in talks with energy companies here [...] discussing what we can do, especially in the Arctic region, in gas exploration and gas supply for India," Goyal said in an interview with RIA Novosti.  Read more...
Russia's Novatek wants to sell LNG from Arctic LNG-2 to India

Reuters.com, August 12, 2019: Russia's Novatek is interested in supplying liquefied natural gas (LNG) from its Arctic LNG-2 project to Indian companies, Russian Deputy Energy Minister Anton Inyutsyn was quoted as saying by the ministry's website on Monday. Novatek plans to start producing LNG at Arctic LNG-2 in 2022-2023. The plant, which is expected to cost around $25.5 billion, will have an annual production capacity of 19.8 million tonnes.  Read more...
Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran to study energy corridor

Kallanishenergy.com, August 15, 2019: The Russian Ministry of Energy announced Wednesday an agreement between Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran to jointly develop a study on how to create a "corridor" between their three energy systems. They will assess the feasibility of connecting the respective grids to each other to transfer electricity, based on the current status of each system. The study is expected to be completed in a year, Kallanish Energy reports.  Read more...
Russia & China set to double trade turnover to $200 billion in 5 years

Rt.com, August 14, 2019: Moscow and Beijing have eliminated all the barriers that can impede their fast-developing cooperation, China's new ambassador in Moscow said, announcing the timeline to reach the ambitious goal of doubling current trade volume. "By 2024 we will reach trade turnover of $200 billion. I think this goal is achievable because from now on trade and economic cooperation is rapidly developing," Zhang Hanhui told journalists on Wednesday.  Read more...
Trade with Russia increases significantly

Azernews.az, August 15, 2019: In the first seven months of this year, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia amounted to almost $1.4 billion. This is 23.2 percent more than in the same period in 2018, the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan said in a message. Some 7.76 percent of the total foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan in January-July 2019 accounted for the trade operations with Russia. The volume of export of local products to Russia amounted to $423.2 million, which is 9.4 percent more than in the same period last year.  In general, 3.45 percent of Azerbaijani exports in January-July 2019 accounted for the deliveries to Russia.  Read more...
Russian Tourist Flow To Austria Increased 3.4% In 2018 - Austrian Ministry Of Tourism

Urdupoint.com, August 13, 2019: Austria remains an attractive tourist destination for Russians with the tourists flow rising by 3.4 percent in  2018 compared to the previous year, the spokesman for the Austrian Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism, Michael Strasser, told Sputnik. "In  2018, 349,565 guests  from  Russia visited  Austria, which represents an increase of 3.4 percent, and 1.2  million overnight stays were registered, which is 4.4 percent growth. At the  same time, 37.6 percent of the total number of nights, which is 453,540, were spent in  Vienna," Strasser said.  Read more...
Russia Is About to Send a Humanoid AI Robot to the International Space Station

Newsweek.com, August 14, 2019: Russia's space agency Roscosmos is about to send a humanoid robot to the International Space Station. Skybot F-850 will be sent to the ISS on August 22 on board the Soyuz MS-14 spacecraft, and will spend over two weeks there before returning to Earth on September 7. The robot, also known as Fedor, made headlines in 2017 when Dmitry Rogozin, director general of Roscosmos, shared a video of it shooting guns. Shortly after he clarified they "are not creating a Terminator, but artificial intelligence that will be of great practical significance in various fields."  Read more...

Uzbekistan takes new steps to boost tourism industry

Timesca.com, August 15, 2019: In a bid to boost its tourism industry, Uzbekistan, starting from 1 January 2020, will introduce 30-day visa-free travel for tourists from 20 more countries, mostly in Central America, and partly compensate the expenses of tour operators and charter flight organizers if they bring in foreign tourists to the Central Asian country. The moves are stipulated by a presidential decree issued this week. The number of countries for whose citizens Uzbekistan has introduced 30-day visa-free regime has now reached 85 and the Uzbek authorities say this is not a limit, Xinhua news agency reported.  Read more...
Kazakhstan to increase meat export

Kazakh-tv.kz, August 15, 2019: Kazakhstan is planning to increase the volumes of its meat exports by two and a half times. One of the leading regions in the meat export is Aktobe. The region will export 4,000 tons of beef and 200 tons of mutton.  The main importers of the meat products are Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran. There are 5,000 farms operating in the Aktobe region where most of them produce meat for export. "To date, 2,800 tons of all types of meat have been exported, including 2,200 tons of beef and nearly 100 tons of mutton. 200 tons of pork has also been exported to Russia," said Senior Staff of Regional Agriculture Department, Panabek Bimuratov.  Read more...

Индия и Россия обсуждают возможные газовые проекты в Арктике

Russian.rt.com, 12 августа, 2019: Министр торговли и промышленности Индии Пиюш Гоял в беседе с РИА Новости сообщил, что Индия и Россия обсуждают возможности развития газовых проектов в Арктике.  Он  отметил, что энергетическое партнёрство двух стран «очень крепкое». «Наши министры, отвечающие за энергетику, уже ведут обсуждения с энергетическими компаниями здесь. Товарооборот между Китаем и Россией в январе-июле 2019 года увеличился на 4,7 проц.

Russian.china.org.cn, 12 августа, 2019: Товарооборот между Китаем и Россией в первые семь месяцев 2019 года вырос на 4,7 проц. по сравнению с аналогичным периодом предыдущего года и достиг 61 млрд 133,6 млн долл. США. Согласно данным, опубликованным на днях на официальном сайте Главного таможенного управления КНР, в январе-июле текущего года экспорт китайских товаров в Россию сократился на 0,8 проц. до 26 млрд 670,4 млн долл. США, а импорт российских товаров в Китай составил 34 млрд 463,2 млн долл. США с приростом на 9,4 проц.  Читать далее...
Предприятия Татарстана поделятся наработками по переводу автомобильной техники на сжиженный природный газ

Tatar-inform.ru, 15 августа, 2019: Президент Татарстана Рустам Минниханов поручил республиканскому Минпромторгу помочь Туркменистану в продвижении сжиженного природного газа (СПГ). Подробнее об этом на брифинге в Кабмине РТ рассказала официальный представитель Казанского Кремля Лилия Галимова. «Дано поручение разработать пилотный проект по продвижению СПГ (сжиженного природного газа - прим.
