Upcoming Provider Input Sessions, Meetings and More *
The Children's Trust would like to commend our providers for your dedication, commitment and sacrifice in quickly adapting to the continuously evolving pandemic and for continuing to do what you do best - serve the children and families of our community.
We will continue to monitor the spread of COVID-19 in our community and count on your input to inform our planning process for the upcoming school year and beyond. To that end, we are planning the following:
-
Provider Input Sessions – We will host two input sessions on August 14, with a representative subset of our providers to gain meaningful insights and share our initial thoughts about 2020-21 services. All Trust providers can share their thoughts and ideas with your program manager before August 13.
-
Provider Meeting – We will host a virtual provider meeting at the end of August to share lessons from summer 2020 services, discuss initiative-specific recommendations, and host a Q&A session to address your questions and concerns about 2020-21 service expectations.
-
Modified Services - We expect Trust funding to focus on services that meet the needs of our community. Providers will submit an individual plan using a template provided by The Children’s Trust by Friday, August 14. As previously conveyed, Youth Development providers should not incur any direct service-related expenses until after their plan is approved.

Until we have communicated a decision regarding Youth Development programs for the next contract year, we ask providers not to incur any direct service-related expenses. Additionally, any non-budgeted expenses incurred without prior approval by The Children's Trust will not be reimbursed. The only expenses that will be allowed, until a decision has been made, are expenses related to administrative staff and recurring operational items such as rent and utilities. Time Running Out to Fill Out Census!
Options to fill out the 2020 Census are still available but the deadline to fill out the census has been cut by a month, until Sept. 30. You can still fill it out online but there is uncertainty as to how much longer that will be an option. As providers, you are in a unique position to help direct families on filling out the census and informing them that it's safe, easy and important. Remember, the individuals you serve are often those who will most benefit from an accurate census count.
