I thank all of you for calling upon our services in these most challenging of times.
We have learned much since the onset of the Pandemic. It has amazed me how facile Lawyers and our Neutrals have been as they have adopted remote technology in mediating and arbitrating cases.
All of us will continue to utilize these acquired skills as we brace for the difficult winter already upon us. We will collaborate with you to get the job done while keeping people safe.
Hopefully, better times will arrive in the spring.
It is highly likely that remote work will stay with us, to some extent, even after the Pandemic subsides. Most ADR cases will probably be convened in-person. However, I think that these in-person cases will frequently include participants who will be remote (“hybrid”). Certainly, many cases will be handled entirely remotely. This combination of configurations is likely to constitute the New Normal.
As we go forward, we will continue to serve in the mode requested by you and your clients subject to prevailing circumstances.
